Give your team the training oncology referrals require.

Hospitals, cancer centers, universities, rehabilitation clinics and fitness organizations use CETI to build oncology exercise capability into their staff — and to give their patients somewhere qualified to go.

The gap

Your clinicians recommend exercise. Where do they send people?

Exercise is now part of standard guidance across the cancer care continuum. Referral capacity hasn’t kept up.

General fitness qualifications don’t cover surgical contraindications, lymphedema risk, treatment side effects, or how any of it changes what’s safe to program. So oncologists give sound advice, and patients are left to find their own way — or don’t move at all.

Training your existing staff closes that loop internally: survivorship programming you can stand behind, delivered by people who already know your patients.

Who we work with

Four ways institutions use CETI

Hospitals & cancer centers

Train rehabilitation staff, exercise physiologists, nurse navigators and survivorship coordinators. Build a survivorship exercise program with a defensible clinical foundation, or create an internal referral pathway instead of sending patients out untracked.

Universities & academic programs

Bring oncology exercise science into exercise physiology, kinesiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy and nursing curricula. Students graduate with a credential employers recognize and a specialty most of their peers don’t have.

Gyms, studios & wellness facilities

Differentiate your facility with staff qualified to work with cancer survivors and older adults managing chronic conditions — a growing membership segment almost no competitor can serve safely.

Nonprofits & community organizations

Equip your team to deliver safe, structured exercise programming to the communities you already serve — including virtual delivery for immunocompromised participants who can’t attend in person.

Case in point

The Claremont Club

A club that put its own staff through CETI training and built the survivorship program around them.

Claremont did the thing this page is describing: they trained their team rather than hiring one specialist, so the capability sits with the organization instead of walking out the door when one person leaves.

Andrea taught the course on site — lymph node dissection, surgical procedures, contraindications and assessment — to the staff who would be delivering the programming.

“Thank you for all your hard work and effort that you put in to make this course, as well as to continually keep it up to date. I’ve taken MANY certificates in various niches over the years and this is BY FAR the most detailed and helpful course.”

Frank McKenna
OncoVie® Cancer Exercise Specialist

“The CES training was absolutely superb. The content was extremely informative and incredibly useful. I have attended several trainings before but I can’t recall any of them having such a strong impact. Each presentation was recorded, giving participants the ability to review as necessary. This is invaluable.”

Stefanie Callens
OncoVie® Cancer Exercise Specialist

“My clients are referred to me by physical therapists, occupational therapists and physiotherapists — pre and post spinal surgery, knee replacement, hip replacement, cancer survivors. The content of each unit was without question personally and professionally relevant.”

A team that trained together

EVOKE Warriors™

A 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated solely to the betterment of people’s lives.

Their staff qualified as OncoVie® Cancer Exercise Specialists together — the pattern most institutions follow. One cohort, the same curriculum, the same examination, so that everyone programming for a cancer client in the building is working from the same understanding of surgery, treatment side effects and what is safe to load.

FAQ

Institutional questions

What are group rates?

Every quote is personalized, because pricing depends on cohort size, which qualifications your staff need, and whether you want it delivered on site, live over Zoom, or as self-study.

Three ways to get one: fill in the quote form — it asks the questions we would ask anyway, so the first reply is a real answer rather than a request for more information — or call 1-503-502-6776, or email andrea@thecancerspecialist.com.

Can you invoice, or accept a purchase order?

We invoice directly. We are not able to process purchase orders.

Can training be scheduled around clinical rotas?

Yes. Staff can work self-paced within a 180-day window, or join a structured monthly Zoom-guided cohort with weekly webinars. Most institutions mix both depending on the team.

Will this count toward our staff’s continuing education?

Yes — the CES Advanced Qualification is approved by DRD Puerto Rico (22), NSCA (20), AFAA (15), CIMSPA (10), Canfitpro (4), ACE (3.5) and NASM (1.9), plus NPCP (40) on the Pilates version and Yoga Alliance (30) on the Yoga version. See the full list →

Do you deliver on-site training?

Yes. On-site training can be arranged for your team — get in touch and we’ll work out scheduling and pricing for your location.

Can we integrate CETI into a university course for credit?

Yes. CETI has worked with Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions and Winona State University, among others. Get in touch and we’ll discuss how the curriculum can fit your program.

What happens after our staff certify?

Certified specialists receive an Advanced Qualification valid for two years, lifetime access to their materials, and an optional listing in the CETI global directory, which survivors and caregivers search directly. Recertification provides the current edition of the curriculum.

Your patients are already being told to exercise.

Give them somewhere qualified to go — inside your own organization.
